I just about made it through the morning. What a day so far and its only 12:42! A better start to yesterday (Which I am able to laugh at now - Thanks for all your messages of 'support' lol If you haven't already read it, I'm referring to yesterdays blog)
The workplace is a funny old thing, I'm lucky to have escaped from the monotony that is the 9-5..My wife however hasn't, today she faced her beast of a boss.. The man is literally a monster, I have been unfortunate enough to meet him on several occasions (He is even more unpleasant after a few drinks!) I have always told the wife to be more assertive, today she was. Tonight, when she returns home (If she doesn't burst through the door at any minute!) I'm sure she will have been fired or promoted. Hopefully the latter or I will be in trouble...
This got me thinking about horrible bosses, were they always this was way... Do they really think they're superior or are they little insecure beings rolling around in that big ogre body? Is their job everything to them, does it mean so much that they will destroy others whilst only thinking of their own success? Do the live to work whilst the rest of us work to live? At the end of their life will they judge their success by their career or by what they have achieved with their personal life?... So many questions! Who knows... but if you are a boss, when someone walks into your office - acknowledge them, SMILE! and when you look at that person, remember, there is a person behind that 'worker'
