               As you may have realised I have been very busy with the new site. It was launched last week and I have been busy tweaking it over the past few days. My aim was for something easy to navigate that was easy on the eye. I'm hoping this is what has been achieved.
                The idea behind the website, was a community page that could be used like Spotted but without the limitations of a facebook page. I also wanted to cover a larger area as Spotted 'Torquay' soon turned into Torbay and more recently has been reaching further.

After yesterdays blog about messages that I had received but had not been posted, I had this charming conversation....

You'd be surprised how many people feel the need to swear at me. It annoys me a little, it would be bad enough if I was at work and people used such language but I run Spotted for free - The new website is also ran for free and has been paid for out of my pocket. I get small donations for advertising but up until now that just paid for myself and the other admins (from the other pages I run) to have a Christmas drink. Any future donations will go towards the new site so if you want your business to appear on the blog, just get in touch and for a small donation - We can tell everyone about you.

Anyway kids - Swearing makes you look very silly :-p

The unpublished messages....

If you are reading this, it's probably because you follow my page on facebook - Spotted Torquay People from Torquay (and the rest of Torbay) send in messages and I post them. This can be anything from notifying others of a traffic holdup, 'spotting' something amusing (These posts are usually accompanied by a photo) Letting people know of charity events, discussing local issues... and a bit of everything else.

I get a lot of messages, sometimes over 100 a day. Not all can be posted,  sometimes people ask me to post items for sale - there are a lot of selling pages already, we don't need another one. Another thing people ask me to do is post for job vacancies or accommodation but if I posted one, I'd have to post them all and the page would get boring very quickly.

Another reason they cant be posted is that they are just too rude! (And sometimes just too bizarre!)

So here are some of the previously unpublished messages that I have received on Spotted (Minus the photo's of arses, boobs and genitals. None of which you would want to see!)

The blog is back!

Hi all,
          As you can imagine Christmas has been very busy! You may have seen that I kept the posts over the Christmas period very limited on Spotted Torquay This was simply because Spotted is very time consuming and I wanted to spend time with my family. Thanks to everyone for respecting that.
      
          We have been working on the new website today, it should be up and running properly by the end of the year (Yeah, next week) If you have anything to add to it, please contact us here Forget media bias and sensationalised headlines. This website is for the people, by the people... It's a community website and we hope we can build it to be as successful as Spotted, to do that - We need your help! We also have a facebook page to run alongside the main site which you can find here

    

          So what are your plans for the NYE? We are still undecided... Any idea's gratefully received! Whats on around the bay? Get in touch and we can compile a list to put on Spotted and We are South Devon. 

 

         Apologies for the lack of blogging, I shall make more of an effort in future! I have had some VERY funny messages recently, not the sort of stuff that I can post on facebook - I will however be posting them all on here. I will be sifting through all the messages and finding the best to put on here!

 

          To the people who donated a beer - Thank you! Myself and the admins from my other pages enjoyed an evening out just before Christmas.
